Dried and caked mud filled with cracks on the ground where Lake Okeechobee once used to be. Back in the early 2000s, there was such a bad drought that Lake Okeechobee in Florida literally began drying up and the water evaporated. Scientists who have warned us about global warming talk about these kind of events happening. Thankfully the rains did return and Lake Okeechobee has returned to normal water levels but this kind of drought can happen anywhere bringing famine and destruction to the earth.
